When I was three years old, my dad started throwing balls at me in the back yard, by the time I was three and a half, he thought that game was unfair, so he gave me a bat to defend myself. I played baseball, basketball and soccer growing up. I managed to play high school baseball for three years. I controlled the inside corner, that is, until I got bumped up to varsity and suddenly 75 mph heat on the inside corner often found its way deep down the left field line.
